Two-Bedroom Holiday House
Elephant View Homestead is a two-bedroom holiday house on a working farm. It has a living room with streaming services, a sun terrace, and a garden. Free WiFi is included. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the dining area is next to a work desk and a sofa bed. The private bathroom includes bathrobes and free toiletries. From the patio, guests can see elephants and zebras in Knysna Elephant Park.
Kitchen and Barbecue
There is no restaurant on site. Guests cook in the fully equipped kitchen or use the barbecue facilities outside. The hosts often leave welcome food: farm eggs, milk, jam, homemade bread, and sometimes honey or sherry. The patio has a dining table and chairs for outdoor meals.
Farm, Games, Fireplace
Guests can walk around the farm and meet the animals. The resident dog Ice is friendly with visitors, including children. Inside the house there are board games and puzzles. Outside, the sun terrace, garden, and outdoor fireplace provide seating for the evening. The hosts have also given guests a tour of the farm.
Location and Parking
The house sits on Knysna Elephant Park Private Road, opposite Knysna Elephant Park. Plettenberg Bay is 7 km away, where guests can find shops and restaurants. Free private parking is available on site. The entrance road is not clearly marked from the N2, so use the Elephant Park sign as a landmark. Guests have also visited Monkeyland and the Wolf Sanctuary from here.
Host Help and House Services
Daily housekeeping, ironing, and laundry services are available. Luggage storage can be arranged, and invoices are provided. The house has heating and fire extinguishers. The property is non-smoking, with a designated smoking area outside. The hosts live on the farm and give local recommendations. Guests have received farm eggs, homemade bread, jam, and honey from them during their stay.
